Can I come home yet?

Well... since I last updated you all.. there have been many highs and lows. The highs have been really high and unfortunately, the lows have been really low!
So I'll start you on my flight home... 29th January... a wonderfully terrific low that eventually ended in a high! The flight ended up being delayed by 2 hours or more... which, given it was already a late night flight really sucked! We were due to land at 10.50pm... ended up landing at about 1am which meant I got home at 3am... wonderful. Oh and further to that... whilst we were still in the air circling Liverpool, we were informed by the pilot that we were in a queue along with 2 other planes and hopefully it should take us 10 minutes to land... which we just had the fuel for... but after that we may have to make other arrangements... That was just what I wanted to hear whilst being up in the air! Great job there Mr. Pilot! But we landed, safe and sound and I just wanted to get out of there as quick as I could! home home home! Thats all I had on my mind!
Straight to bed when I got in, only to be up early the next day! Saturday was beauty day! I had my eyebrows and eyelashes tinted and also had my eyebrows waxed! Then later on I went to get my hair chopped! :D It was a nice day :D Then I met James on his lunch break at work and took him a subway whilst we chatted for a bit before he had to go back to work.

Then I went to meet Ronan in town and also unexpectedly met Olly too. He was up from uni for the weekend visiting so I guess that was a nice surprise since I rarely see him. We went to warehouse, played a bit of pool then went our separate ways! Got picked up by James later that night and crashed at his.
Didn't get up to too much whilst I was at home other than another wonderfully expensive shopping spree at Matalan totalling almost £100! Fun times!

So anyway, I'll skip all the rest of what happened when I was at home because as I said, it wasn't much so wouldn't even be worth me writing!

Flew back to Germany... for once with a smile on my face.. cause this time James was coming with me for 2 whole weeks! In time alone in a foreign country... that's more like years! :D
Whilst he was here in all fairness, the best part was just having someone there! Especially when that someone was him! We visited Berlin Cathedral which i'd seen before but I know James really wanted to see and it was just as spectacular second time round! Seeing all the coffins in the crypt put such a silence on the entire room... walking around seeing coffins for 'The nameless prince' who died at not even a day old! Just makes you think WOW... how sad :(
We also visited a palace in Potsdam called Neues Palais which was very nice. We got to wear these super huge cool slippers over our shoes so that we didn't damage the floor in there.. most of which was marble! It was so cold in there that I had to wear my gloves but it was such an amazing palace... including one room - the Grotto - which had walled entirely covered in seashells... and this was a very big room... I'm talking bigger than my house just for the one room! The visit to the palace was followed by a walk through the snow covered park into Potsdam. That was a really nice walk but I know it would have been so much better if the sun had been shining for us!
We also visited Berlin Zoo! This was my favourite bit! Other than Flamingo Land, I don't actually recall ever having been to a Zoo in my life, so this was a first for me! I got scared to death by the tiger who roared so loudly and charged into his cage! Made me jump out of my skin! There was also a really big cool gorilla who would every so often bang on the window and charge past and then just go and sit down again! We also got to see a panda, though it was asleep with it's back to us so we didn't see too much! We also saw polar bears and elephants which were both really cool! The list goes on but I won't bore you all with a list of animals that you already know! Oh there was also a bit with insects... and there was a tank with ants.. but it was kind of open... and afterwards I was itchy all over just thinking about them crawling on me! none of them did though!
Our last attraction we visited was Madame Tussauds! That was really cool, but it's a shame it was the German one, not English. Although everything was explained in English as well as German, we didn't know who half the people were because they were only famous in Germany! But we managed to get pictures with George Clooney, both of us punching Muhammed Ali in the face and various others! There was also a waxwork of Hitler, but he was kept away in his own private room and you could only look at him through a little window and you weren't allowed to take photos with him either so as not to cause any offence to the other people visiting. It was cool to see though, nonetheless.
Other than that we just did general hanging out and by the time James had to leave, it felt strange because it felt almost as if he had moved in with me! But I took him to the airport and we said our goodbyes only for me to be left alone again for almost 6 weeks! :(
So he left last Friday and since then I've been getting back into my gym routine which is going well again now. I'm doing long sessions every day but Tuesday :)
I also wrote a letter to my landlady quoting a piece of law that I hoped would mean I could cancel my contract with her when I wish to leave at the end of May. (the contract goes until 1st October) Turns out however that that piece of law only applied to unlimited contracts.. i.e permanent ones. She also felt the need to tell me that if I didn't find a tenant to replace me but chose not to pay the rent that she would be willing to take necessary legal action. Oh joy. Just what I need. So at present, unless I find another tenant.. I stand to lose 1820 euros! All because my landlady is an awful satanic bitch who couldn't just let me leave! I refuse to pay though! I will find some loophole! I mean, surely the fact I am leaving the country, or will no longer have an income or that in a 'furnished' property, she never provided me with a bed or curtains should all help towards my case! But probably not. If anyone has any ideas that may help with this, don't hesitate to tell me! A lawyer specialising in German tenancy law would be a blessing right now!

So currently, I'm sat in my room, fed up... searching frantically for the answer... just a little something that could possibly get me out of this mess! And before I return home to England permanently, I won't hesitate to inform her that she single handedly ruined my stay in Germany and that she should ought to rethink the wording of her contract given that my room is not actually furnished despite her claims that it is!

Stupid old bitch!

Someone come rescue me please?

That's all for now!

Much love

Amy
